I have to dig to see what realtrack I used. The vocal is synthesized if it sounds a little weird that's why.
It's a minor blues progression. wrote the song for the cat we had to give away due to serious allergy.

hope you like it.

oh Kali at any corner any chair
snoozing by the window
she doesn't care

Kali oh Kali likes comfy beds
oh Kali oh Kali likes hiding in closet
dozing below piano
but she likes boxes the best

Kali oh Kali has pretty eyes
oh Kali watches birds fly and chipmunks go by
she wondered to my side last night
she whispered in my ears "sleep tight"

Kali oh Kali

I know all about seriously cat allergies as my wife, two sons and I have them.

I am not fond of synthesized vocals however you did a very good job on this. I really liked your backing tracks, great job on that.

A very nice song.

One of the best Vocaloid things I have ever heard.

Extremely well done. You used the vocaloid as an art form here.

Great lyrics. Love the tonal structure of the piece. Very, very, very good.

Cheers.

Hi!

Very, very nice!~ Love the backing tracks. This is so professionally done.

Moving the pan on the lead guitar was really nice. I enjoyed this very much.

This is very nice, very smooth. I love the guitar solo. Good work! The synthesized voice fits well with the character of this song.

Thank you for you all for your kind words about my music. So I did a little diggin and here's what I think the realtrack I used.

Guitar, Electric Rhythm Dire Ev085 #508
Guitar, Electric, Background Dreamy Ev 065

The vocal is synthesized using Yamaha Vocaloid, the soundbank is Sweet Anne.

Again, thank you all for listening.

I really like the mood of this. The rhythm section works nicely, and there are several simple but effective sounds. The blues guitar soloist is great, and the reverb on the guitars is perfect. Singing reminds me of Carole King, excellent work with Sweet Ann, also those backing vocal parts are nice addition. There is not enough songs about cats so this fills the shortage wink

Thank you all very much for taking the time listening to my music. I am glad that found it enjoyable.

The progression is in common minor blues form and melody line was improvised on my guitar and refined when I programmed the vocloid with the backing.

Again, appreicated your kind comments.

Sophisticated, simple enough to be hypnotic and extremely well produced. If you hadn`t acknowledged the vocaloid treatment I probably wouldn`t have known, its so good.
Very well done!

Thank you for your kind words. The vocaloid is a great tool for us nonsingers though sometimes it is a pain to adjust the parameters to make it sound tiny little more natural.

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

Dennis posted his very thorough Band-in-a-Box® review recently, where he dives into some of the new features added with version 2023: Sound-Guy's Band-in-a-Box Review

Read his thoughts on the Download & Install Manager, partial track regeneration, Playable RealTracks, Audio Editing, the addition of SynthMaster, the VST DAW Plugin, and more!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
