Music and Lyrics by Quekou

The guitar solo is from BIAB realtrack, I programmed everything else.

The translation is only an approximate.

灭迹 ( vanish)
snowing on this Spring day 雪飘在四月的天气
getting closer to the last day 白一层心灰冷意
Packing up my clothes, sealing up my memory 收拾好衣服锁好过去
The moving day might be in June or even may 分离近 在六月不过七一

your destiny cut me into pieces 惊醒在凌晨与命为敌
Dreams are now shattered like glasses 心被击得破碎支离
Like a virus, the pain spreads 痛是一种病毒蔓延肢体
On my heart is where it feeds 才明白过来本不堪一击

clothes are in suitcases 行李箱里垫着几件衬衣
books are now in boxes 正在打包捆绑的几本书籍
still don’t understand the occurrence 还是不懂如此斗转星移
Like the chair won’t understand the master’s disappearance 像窗前的沙发不懂我的灭迹。

What a tune! I love the mood of this one. It is so smooth, and so velvetty. Really interesting use of the vocaloid too. I was surprised that the robotic voice didn't take away from the organic nature of the rest of the tune. I'm a sucker for smooth R&B, and this really did the trick.

Well done - thanks for sharing smile

Thank you for including the musical translation! I really appreciate it -- it gives much better context to song and helps to enhance the mood! Thanks for sharing!

Nicely done and an interesting use of using just a solo from BIAB.
Very atmospheric song.

Very nice track!.. oh, how I wish I understood the native language so I could get the full impact of the lyrics! There are so many creative little things going on in the background against the constant steady rhythmic texture.. I really like all those additions. Wow the vocal harmonies on this were great!

Thank you very much for listening to my song. The vocal harmonies are produced using the vocaloid's vocal and pitched up 7 semitones and adjusted its formant etc so it sounds like a female. Then it was panned left and delayed maybe 50 miliseconds to avoid phasing.

The background chords are evolving around Dm9 with different voicings. '

Thank you again for listening to my music in such a detail.

Nice to hear some Chinese language on this forum smile I really like your style of songs, so smooth and relaxing. Beautiful chord progression. The solo guitar fits the mood of this song perfectly. Simple arrangement but sounds very cool with the reverb and all those small details.

Hello, quekou

All the accompaniments you programmed are splendid.
The combination of drums, bass and electric piano is very cool.
Everything is really creative.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!

Dennis posted his very thorough Band-in-a-Box® review recently, where he dives into some of the new features added with version 2023: Sound-Guy's Band-in-a-Box Review

Read his thoughts on the Download & Install Manager, partial track regeneration, Playable RealTracks, Audio Editing, the addition of SynthMaster, the VST DAW Plugin, and more!

"Band-in-a-Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is, without negative connotation, a monster of a program. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. No DAW can do some of the things BIAB does, while BIAB can do a lot that DAWs do."
