One of my favorite rodeo singers was Moe Bandy.... if you're not familiar with him, look him up on YouTube. Nice mellow song. But... there's a glitch at the start of a lot of all your phrases. For example, at 0:30 on "with", 0:53 on "ain't", 0:59 on "maybe", 1:04 "or", 1:27 on "and", etc. I suspect that you've edited vocal takes together, and because you've cut the "fade in" of the vocal, the vocal volume goes from zero to instantly "on". Or perhaps you're doing punch-ins that start a bit late, so they lose the natural fade in. In any event, you're probably got an option in your DAW to add a small fade in on the vocal that'll get rid of that problem. None of which is to diminish the song. You do country really well, and I always enjoy listening to your songs. -- David Cuny My virtual singer development blog Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it.
