There is an island that is surrounded by mist that appears and disappears at random times. No one knows why or what is on this island. Some fishermen claim that if the island appears and they are near it they hear voices calling "falling in darkness" . No one knows what is on this island because all who have gone there have disappeared. Do you dare to go to Mysterious Island BiaB style = Very Slow trance-like Tempo 55 BPM I deleted the guitar track/ Bass - Kontakt - Amadeus - preset Symphony Drums - Kontakt - Studio Palace - preset OO_Toso_original Piano - Synthemaster 2 - preset Sarod2 Strings - Synthemaster 2 - preset Pad 2013 I am playing my keyboard controller for EastWest's Play - preset Altos I am also playing my wind controller for Kontakt's preset Fairytale Flute

Very cool. This is cinamatic. Background in a mysterious movie scene. Eerie in a few places.
I believe I was on this island in the 3rd verse of Under the Black.
That's good stuff you have there

Love this one Mario, even though it's spooky, ominous and downright scary. ![eek eek](/forums/images/graemlins/default/eek.gif) The voices, the flute, the echoes, the strings - all create a very atmospheric piece of music. I think writing a free, unorthodox, non-rhythmical work is harder than writing a commercial song, complete with structure, norms and repetition. This is a brave and successful addition to the PG Showcase. Hats off to you Mario. Mike

Mario,
VERY cool.
You should have these sitting a library (music) so that film makers could be picking them up to use in their projects.
Excellent.

Very nice, Mario! It reminds me of the tv show "Lost" and I also feel a little bit that I have been on that kind of island for the last 4 months because of the lockdown. ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif) I enjoyed listening and I liked the creepy feeling I got from listening! Thanks for sharing, Will

Man, you tell a good story, Mario. I actually hesitated before pushing the link. I knew you would reward the risk, and I was right. This is yet another avenue you have taken us into, and you are the perfect guide. You are really really good at writing with a feel, and have a wonderful way of sharing it. Thanks for another enjoyable ride.

There's a game I played where a city only appeared for a few seconds at dawn, then it disappeared for the rest of the day. If you got in at dawn, you could spend all the time you wanted. Your piece would have been perfect ambient music for that place. Very good work! Good piece to mellow out with, too.

Yessir, cinematic indeed. Very well put together, love the flute. I've heard of this island although have not seen any testimonials.

Mario,
Your written introduction to the song made me want to give it a listen, but once I started I couldn’t stop. The song is as mysterious as it’s namesake. Ominous and foreboding . . . as others note very cinematic, very visual. Really interesting piece.
My best to you,
Deej

I am amazed by your ability in creating your instrumentals. The fairytale flute floats nicely in and above the wall of sound. The composition as a whole fits the island story quite aptly.
