Lovely melody, Rob. The trumpet is a nice touch. Excellent vocal as usual. Reminded me a bit of late period Jimmy Little. Regards, Leon

Another cracker...well done. I REALLY like the simple guitar intro. You need to deal with the s beginning sunrise though...it jumps. Yes, I can hear Jimmy Little in the phrasing and warmth - nice catch Leon. There is a sense of Jimmy Webb with Glen Campbell in the arrangement - little baroque touches that emphasize the melody. REALLY nice arrangement.

I really like the lyrics and melody. Instruments sound good.
If your looking for feedback, I'd suggest dumping the volume panning.

If your looking for feedback, I'd suggest dumping the volume panning, I found that to be distracting.

Hi Rob. I like the melody and lyrics very much. But ...... for me there seems to be a weird phaser thing going on though which is interfering with the gentler side of it.

Vic I agree, it stands out at the 1:30 mark. I liked the lyrics, vocal, and the trumpet. That sounded great. Correct the phase thing and you have a hugh winner on your hands.

This was a really great use of the _BALADAP.STY style, I feel! Really enjoyed the melody on this one as well - it all came together quite nicely! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

Rob,
I like it.
I agree with Ray - there is a Jimmy Webb/Glen Campbell sound/feel to this.
(and I hear the phase thing that others reference).
Cool song.

Hello Rob ...
I always enjoy your voice. It's smooth and full and has an intangible and indigenous aura of warmth.
I, too, think the little phase thing should be dialed back. But, that didn't stop me from enjoying the song. Wishing you the very best. Take care.
Alan

Rob, your voice is perfect for this fine ballad. Well produced other than the phasing. I’m not sure what is causing that. Nevertheless I enjoyed it, Tom

This is one of your best, IMHO. You have a terrific voice. Horns were great. Phasing issue is a problem, can you redo it? Worth the time, I think.

Dunno what's happening with the file. I've tried repeated times and always get the phasing issue.
Irrespective of that it is a great write and is carried by a fine vocal!

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks
MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:
There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:
1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track
