I may have posted this song before (not sure), but I am sharing this because something made me really laugh.
Just seconds before I was going to hop on a mentoring call with NSAI today (Nashville Songwriters) I saw I had a NSAI eval come in for a song I wrote as a joke for a sync licensing possibility elsewhere. I never gave it a second thought--until I got the best review I have ever received from Nashville. For old school redneck. This is a snippet:
"LYRICS: I love how you open the song! Think you have a really good bar drinking old country song and it’s amazing.
MELODY: I think this would be great for sync. I think there is a market for this! I miss this kind of country music on the radio and I wish it would come back!"
Hmmmm. Floyd, Herb, and the rest of the gang, put your boots back on boys and girls. We have some tracks to cut on the four track. Hope y'all still remember your Nashville numbers. Gas 'er up. I'm swinging by your house in a minute Floyd. Make sure your wife understands.
