Man, this is grimly intense. That beat... I feel like I'm hiking on hot asphalt. Primary blues with a vastly expanded chord vocabulary. Good stuff.

Hi Marty,
Very lovely Blues, with a splendid solo! Your vocals -as often- are always very pleasant to listen to and always with a humorous twist in them, regardless of the theme. I like that, as I often told you! The lyrics are moralistic in a way, but it's a good advise to listen to. I agree on that. I only think that the line "Listen to your heart, and don't thnk twice" needs to be altered in "do think twice". Not thinking twice usually causes huge problems. See this as my 'good advise' ;-)
As you might have guessed, I really enjoyed your song! Hans

Cool song, vocal, mix, and super guitar from Dave. I like your voice Marty and your vocal chain sounds really good on this. Sorry, I must confess the faces on the video were too distracting for me. I can't even watch those on AFV....so nothing personal. Enjoyed my listen very much. Great job.

Marty...you slay me with your videos...that was hilarious!...honestly first time through I didn't even hear the song I was so busy laughing...but needless to say...great song!...you ad Dave are magic together...you guys can really nail a blues riff and your lyrics are always smart and full of wit and in this case "good advice"...I'm a big fan of your music, musicianship, use of the tool (BiaB) and your light heart!

I listened on Soundcloud first and got a chuckle ... Then I saw the video and was laughing out loud! It's hard to type when your eyes are watering like this. That was great. I've never made a video, but if I ever do I'll be coming to you for some Good Advice!

Marty, listening, not watching, so I can focus. My 1st impression was that I could hear this on a 78 with Lady Day singing. It's the sort of "done me wrong" song that women do oh, so well.
That said, your performance - slow, calm, not overselling the punch line, is REALLY cool. Dave's guitar is icing on the cake - as usual.
Fabulous.

Man you guys nailed these blues
Everything is so good that it ought to be in the Alligator Records catalog.
Outstanding in everything
PS - I'm glad that I listened this song on Soundcloud before I saw the video otherwise I would have missed a lot of the song due to my L-ing O L!

As you might have guessed, I really enjoyed your song! Hans Thanks, Hans. When you talk like that I don't mind you repeating yourself. hehe Yeah, it's kinda preachy with the morals and all. Each of the verses talks about one commandment or another. Usually if I think twice, the second thought is more selfish. Wait, On second thought... Yes, I really enjoyed this too... Very cool song & video... Marty and Dave... You guys are da Bomb... My question is... which is worse..? to give, or to take Bad Advice? I'd advise against answering that... grin;-) AH, the old Would I rather be taken care of by a caregiver or a caretaker? question. Thanks, bloc-head. Great job.
Josie Thanks, Josie. Yeah, sometimes I think those faces in the video are there to distract from the vocal quality, so thanks for saying you like the vocal.

Thanks to the couple of people that mentioned my guitar work in this song, and thanks to Marty for the invite!
Man, such a great song, was a blast to be involved. And then the video, must have watched it 20 times I think!

Perfect tempo for a really 'blue song' about the blues.
Clever lyrics and an ideal choice of instruments for the style.

"Listen to your heart, and don't think twice. 'Two wrongs will make it right' is bad advice."
Amen bro and only if more folks recognized that.
You have the whole package going here ... cool write, great vocal and bass performance. Oh yeah, and that guitar man is smokin' with that dark vibe. Seems like we've heard of him.
Great arrangement and mix indeed ... got sort of a swing/shuffle hybrid going.
And the video? Funny and immensely creative!
Two fine productions.

Nice dark blues with a clear message. The hilarious video shows the story also from the humorous angle. Cool vocal delivery is perfect for the blues. Enjoyed the melancholy chord progression and the nice bassline. Dave just gets better like old wine Janne

Marty,
Killer guitar work right out the gate, given this a chill blues feel (lead and bass). Love the video . . . really compliments the tune. The vocal is great, the mix stellar. Impressive effort!
Stay well—
