Hi Elliott,

Good catchy song.

I would love to have the vocals right out front (twice as loud).

Best Regards
Nigel

Running until midnight Running until dawn
Running til my legs cant run no more
Running from my demons Who wont leave me alone
Running from the life I lived before

Don't have a family Don't have a home
Don't have no place I can call my own
Running fast and low Running out of time
Life on the run, Life on the run

Cant look behind me, there no past I know
Cant look ahead my blood runs cold
Cant find shelter cause I own the storm
Don’t have a friend to share my load

Running from my past and moving way too fast
Running from the gallows in the dawn
Running with the devil Im Running out of time
Running cause all hope is gone

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Cool song! My kind of music! Again, maybe just my system, but I thought the vocal and lead instruments could come up in the mix. Loved this one!

Elliott,

Your songs are always really good man. I just listened to one earlier.

Can you help me understand why you posted 5 songs in one day?

It is impossible to listen or keep up with that, or others, when everyone wants a listen too and not to get pushed to the bottom.

Just help me understand.

Ditto,
the logic is perplexing and the knock on effect annoying.

Thanks for listening I appreciate it.

I didn't post five new songs.
I updated some of my pre-posted songs with Band in the Box song memo information.

I had received feedback saying that I should post the song memos which I haven't done in the past.

Thanks for the explanation Elliott.

That was kind of super confusing so I am glad I know.

smile

Yeah, there is SO MUCH music being posted here it is hard to keep up and I am trying my best to create some systems myself to be better at posting and better at listening to others.

It is a community, and a community with a lot of songs to listen to.

The memo information is requested on the forum instructions board up at the top, and I think it makes sense, because people want to learn. When people reference a style or tracks, it makes the learning curve so much faster, and allows this to become a learning center, which is a big part of having a forum in the first place.

In the old days, people might ask:

"Hey Elliott, what were you playing on that?"

"52 Tele."

Around here, on most days, they want to know which real track.

Thanks for the update.

Elliott,

Yeah, catchy tune—production work on this is very good. I might like maybe a touch more reverb on the lead vocal, but that’s a subjective thing and probably just a personal preference on my part (for me, it sits fine in the mix, but coming up a couple db wouldn't hurt). But regardless, solid, solid tune. Great work on this!

Best regards,

Deej

Hi, Elliot.

Toe-tapping beat, good vocal, cool guitars, excellent mix, nice variety in the arrangement.

Good times. smile

By the way, you can edit your first post and add information that was missing, and it won't count as a new post.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Elliot ...

This is one of my favorite songs by you. My feet refuse to quit tapping. A great straight forward, toe-tapping treat! Some real sweet lead guitar on this! Really nice!

Take care ...

Alan

I agree that the vocal needs...something. Perhaps a couple more dB with some subtle delay or reverb to tuck it back in. The instrumentation and the music mix overall are excellent.

Nice one.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
