You Wrote Me.
Hi all. This will be my last submission for the year.
Though I have not been on the forum a lot this year, I have still been buisy songwriting.

This is a basic song about getting away from it all. (surprise in the bridge)
Thanks for all your listens and comments throughout the year.
Regards to all. Rob4580

You Wrote Me

****** Song Summary *************
Title: You Wrote Me
Key=C , Tempo 70, Length (m:s)=03:13

You Wrote Me

I'm going where the mountain streams flow clearly.
I'm going where I can right my wrongs

I'll whistle till those city folk can't hear me.
Then Im gonna sing a good old country song.

Chorus
You told me in a letter that you that you love me.
And you wished you never let me go.
You wrote me how you had missed me dearly.
Then I wrote you back and said to come along.

Bridge (Whistle)

Chorus
You told me in a letter that you that you love me.
And you wished you never let me go.
You wrote me how you had missed me dearly.
Then I wrote you back and said to come along.

Verse
When the sun falls beyond the mountains.
The fire light tangles in your hair.

A shooting star sparkles in the heavens.
The love I have for you's beyond compare

Chorus
You told me in a letter that you that you love me.
And you wished you never let me go.
You wrote me how you had missed me dearly.
Then I wrote you back and said to come along.
Then I wrote you back and said to come along.
Then I wrote you back and said to come along.

Rob,

Love that opening. Nice throwback country-folk tune. Engaging vocal and that bass really carries the song along well. Lovely harmonies as well. Wish I could whistle like that!

Good way to end the year! Come well into the next one!

The mix is spot on

Super whistling

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Really nice song about a form of communication that has, for the most part, died. As always, your voice is the star, but it is nicely supported by the RTs you chose. Very good work!

You did a fantastic job with the vocals on this Rob. You've got a great voice for this style of music, but to me, those background vocals were superb. This is folk music at it's best. I'm looking forward to hearing more of those songs you've been writing.

Pleasant folk song, nice romantic message. The whistle part really made me smile, I really would have liked to hear more of it smile Nice melody easy to sing along. I like the Celtic sound of the band and the old country mood. Vocals are excellent and everything is mixed very well.

Nice love song, simple but effective arrangement and a good mix. There are one or two bad guitar notes, but nothing I would worry too much about.

What I like most is (again) your vocals and harmonies, I really like your voice and how you use it!

Rob, I like everything about this . . . keep producing stuff like this!
I especially like the bass.

"When the sun falls beyond the mountains.
The fire light tangles in your hair.

A shooting star sparkles in the heavens.
The love I have for you's beyond compare"

Not sparkles or dances but tangles, beautiful!

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

“You wrote me how you had missed me dearly.”

Janice loved the way you sang this line with your phrasing on “you had missed” and she said the entire song reminded her of watching western movies with her Daddy in the 60’s. This would’ve fit perfectly as the closing song.

Your vocals are great and your whistling was a perfect fit.

And you wrapped it all up with a fine band and mix.

Enjoyed it!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
