Here's a song I started writing in November 2022, and just finished recording.

I was able to use the BIAB RD's this time, but I did use my MODO Drum plugin for some additional drum parts

All RT's are listed below. All lead & background guitar parts (plus a couple rhythm tracks too) are my Tele (background rhythm tracks), and my Strat (solo & slide at the end) being played through a Boss GX-100 processor that I recently got. I'm doing all the vocals as well.

I mastered with IK Multimedia's T-Racks 5.
I also used a number of module processors (plugins) from that same program in my DAW (Reaper) when recording.

As always all comments are welcome.

I Believe In You

I just wanna take a minute now, and talk about your life
It seems some of the choices you're makin', are like a roll of the dice
I just can't help but keep from worryin,' you're always on my mind
We gotta find a way to bring you back, you're not the quittin' kind
I believe in you and always will

Well I'm not sure where it all went wrong, It kinda snuck up fast
For so long you're at the front of the line, then suddenly you're last
I wanna' help I think you know I do, 'cause there's a price to pay
You can't give up, you can't turn your back, you can't walk away
'Cause I believe in you and always will

(Solo)

I know there's others who struggle this way, I've even been there myself
Yea don't go blamin' those around you, for the hand you were dealt
It's up to you to make the choice, you are the one in control
But remember you can count on me, I love you heart & soul
Yea I believe in you and always will (x3)

(Solo Out)

Greg, this one is right smack dab in the middle of your lane. Really well written lyrics, sung to perfection. Your guitar playing is a lesson in making every note count not counting how many notes you can fit in the bar. Well mixed. I wouldn’t change a thing, Tom

Nice driving song, great arrangement and mix.
But what makes the song are your vocals, you have the perfect voice for this style of music smile

Really nice - positive vibes, upbeat vocal, cool solo, retro feel without feeling old.

Cool bits from the piano and resonator guitar as well. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks Floyd! I had been thinking about Jeff Beck before the solo... Decided to honor him with a little whammy work.

Cool tune Greg! Really liked that groove. I echo what Tommy said about the guitar work - great stuff. I also loved that dobro in the back. Made me feel a little like rocking in swamp land with CCR!

Your vocals are so convincing that we know you really do believe! smile

This has a good and joyous (as Janice said) groove to it and your fine playing meshes so well with the RT’s. Nice interplay with the resonator guitar RT.

Lyric, performances, mix - it’s all really good and we enjoyed it!

Keep 'em coming,

J&B

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
