I use a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion), and I run Pro Tools 10. Based on the following statement on the referenced PG Music web page, I understand that PG Music provides a 32 bit AAX plugin specifically for Pro Tools 10:
I Run an Older Version of Pro Tools and Can't Find the Plugin The Band-in-a-Box® 64-bit AAX Plugin is compatible with Pro Tools 11 and higher. We also provide a 32-bit AAX plugin specifically for Pro Tools 10. The Band-in-a-Box plugin is not compatible with Pro Tools 9 and earlier, which do not use the AAX native plugin format. I have installed BIAB 2023 for Mac, and am unable to insert BIAB as an instrument plugin in Pro Tools - it doesn't show up. I suspect that the 32 bit AAX plugin is not installed. Where can I find it?
On Win you have BBPlugin\Files\32-bit\Band-in-a-Box DAW AAX Plugin32.aaxplugin, on Mac it should have these folders in the app folder. There also should be an option in the BBPlugin install package on Mac also:
Hi srburger! Unfortunately the plugin only supports Mac OS 10.9+ and we do not support 32-bit Mac plugins so it is not possible for you to use the plugin on your current machine.
