Haven't been on the forum much this spring. Got the golf bug and the music kind of got pushed back. Recently got hit with a golf ball. Line drive to the back of my picking hand. Broke a bone so done for a couple of more months with the music creation. Typing with one hand is a bit of a chore as well.. Robert and I have also taken a bit of hiatus and should be back in the fall as Spirit Level. We have a couple of a songs that are close to fully cooked. I ran this one through the final mastering process and thought it maybe ready to go. Two tracks one slide playing back to the main melody. Hope you like it. Hi, Scott. I like it! It sounds like a lazy paean to summer. Very melodic, with a touch of David Gilmour.

It could almost be "Hawai'ian". Perhaps it's he heat up your way. A breezy tone and pretty good mix though the slide doesn't seem to quite sit.

Hi Scott ...
Always love your music. I like the smooth, take-it-easy vibe of this one - very relaxing. Sorry to hear about the golf outing gone bad. Sounds painful! Hope it's healed soon.
My very first "real" guitar (1963) was a Gretsch Tennesseean. My father surprised me with it. June 6th, 1963. Two months later, I made my first dollar- ever - playing guitar. My father and I weren't very close, but he changed my life, for the good, forever with that guitar. he died 6 years later in 1969.
Take care ...
Alan

Man, I love your playing, Scott. So full of life and emotion. Hope those hands hit a golf ball as well as the frets. Since it hit your pick hand, I bet you'd be good at a whole song of hammer-ons. Mend well and mend fast.

We enjoyed the mellow vibe of your phrasing and tone.
Nice backing tracks and mix also.
Very relaxing and cinematic!

PS: Sorry to hear about your hand Scott. Bud broke his once and it definitely stopped mountain biking and bass/guitar playing for a while. Heal quickly!

Scott, Ouch! That must of hurt. Hopefully you'll recover fast. I play mini golf with my kids from time to time. A far more safe "sport" While scrolling, I stumbled on Ray's comment. Yeah, it sounds a bit "Hawai'ian" I would even say Hawaiian Reggae. Smooth playing and good mix. Fun listen and thank you for sharing. Misha.

From the first notes this says Aloha! and directs me to sunshine somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Great playing, beautiful melody and interesting chording. The band supports perfectly the lead guitar, very pleasant mix. I'm glad that golf playing hasn't affected the high quality of your tunes Janne

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
