Hi Folks.
Here is a new one for your consideration. A vocal collaboration with Janice M. and a guest Tamara V. playing sections on domra. Bud recorded Janice's vocals and was very helpful in mixing process. Critical feedback is welcomed. Thank you for giving this time.

Missing Pages

Lyrics:
You got your foot on my heart's throttle.
You are my master - I am your genie in a bottle.
Sun is so hot, the asphalt is melting.
Cannons are quiet when muses belly dancing.
I am falling asleep, counting endless heard of fluffy sheep

Stars will not fall as rocks to the ground,
World's diary missing pages
Mary goes round, round and round
Seconds, hours, days and ages

I am like a snake in a plastic bucket,
you are my master and I am your puppet.
Pick up your phone honey, can't you hear it ringing?
Muses are deaf when cannons are singing
I am falling asleep, counting endless heard of fluffy sheep.

Stars will not fall like rocks to the ground,
Cat will not share the secrets he keeps
Mary goes round, round and round
Making the world dance under your feet.

Vocals: Janice Merritt & me

WOW. This is a great listen.

The production is exquisite.
The vocals are excellent. The change from Misha to Janice is seamless and works well.
Misha this is your best vocal ever. Nicely balanced, easy to catch every word.
The domra is well done. (I did have to look that up)

SO very original (like ALL of your work).

Misha, Janice, Tamara and Bud,

Great song, great vocals. I loved everything in it!
Misha, just yesterday I enjoyed your song with Ray and a few hours later you come up with this new fabulous song.
How do you do that?
Anyway, I can only agree with the others here, wow!

Very interesting, mix of instruments, and mix of major and minor modes to create a fully textured performance. Almost sounds like a play, being acted out. I can picture people on a stage moving and singing to this. Fantastic

Holy WOW!! You three really make great music together. Misha, you know how much I really enjoy your song writing, and this one is way over the top. Of course, any song with Janice in it STARTS over the top. Seriously, man, whatever song of yours I'm listening to is my favorite, but I think this one is the tops. I love the rhythm and melody. Everything so darn entertaining. And, yeow!. There is so much in the mix and nothing in the way of the magic you three made. So glad you gave Tamara the final word. Superbly splendid!

Enjoy whatever happens!

This is easily your best IMHO. So much really good stuff packed into just over 3 minutes. Kudos to all involved.

It was really refreshing to hear Janice stepping out of her normal comfort zone and she did it so well. Your vocal is really well done too. Easy to listen to and understand as was mentioned.

Man, what a great project.

What makes this song so exciting that I cannot categorize it, so nice mix of different styles, world music combined with pop in a unique way. Beautiful melody highlighted especially when Janice sings the chorus, nice Chrissie Hynde like tone in her low range. Quite dreamish lyrics, but I wasn't falling asleep while listening.

Enjoyed the instrumentation, domra is a pleasant addition to your band. The scat parts are funny.

Wow, really good Misha! One of your best, no doubt.

Great vocal from both you and Janice! Loved the scat, although for me I would have liked Janice's scat to be at the same volume as yours. But, no one else mentioned that which means I'm wrong eek

Like Floyd I needed to google domra, sounds great.

Excellent!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
