While roaming around BIAB 2010, I came across this in Preferences -> Arrangement Options: Allow late notes in pattern just before chord changes. The default is 100 percent. I've read the Help-file item associated with it but still don't get it.
Can anyone provide another explanation of that option, and can the veterans tell me what their default setting is? Also, is that something you tweak from tune to tune or style to style, or is it more of a set-it-and-forget-it parameter?

Hi, Schnaz. You can forget it without bothering to set it, in my little experience. It may have been added to placate users oversensitive to dissonance. I could find no point, in very limited experiments long ago. Puzzling, isn't it?
I wish somebody who uses it would answer and explain the benefits.

Likely added at some time due to somebody's request/complaint about an issue they were having. Maybe with just a few of the styles or something, don't know.
Seems to be benign, ignore and leave at default setting, at least that's what I have done with it.
