One of the most frequent suggestions on the original post for The Rider was the addition of a baritone guitar. BiaB doesn't have one for this time and tempo, so I produced an opening sample with a played electric guitar. Have to admit it sounds pretty cool even if the playing is a bit sloppy. Anyway, THANKS for the suggestions. Just wanted to show I can occasionally listen. Ha! The Rider (with a side of spaghetti)

Ron,
That totally works and sounds excellent!
You could also build a few baritone licks / loops and sprinkle them throughout the song. I think that would also achieve the feel you are after.
Nothing wrong with your playing - sounds great here!

Think it was David Snyder who recently said, "If you want the guitars to sound like (I forget who), you have to play it yourself." So I did. That's a good suggestion about licks/loops. Hunting for stuff in BiaB is frustrating for me, even after all these decades, and I usually end up back where I started. Or just playing it myself. Ha! so here we are. Appreciate the listen!

Hi, Ron. Yep, that's a yummy spaghetti all right. But it's also one of those sounds that really calls attention it to itself - a little bit goes a long ways. So over the full song it might have been a bit much. I guess we'll never know.

So over the full song it might have been a bit much. I guess we'll never know. David, I tend to agree with you. Think Carl Perkins, Grady Martin, Howard Roberts or any of those gunslingers could pull it off, but the approach would be more varied over the course of the song and perhaps more subtle. The simpler approach I originally posted preserves the voice of the solitary narrator in a way that serves the song well (to me). But it was still fun to crank up the 'verb. THANKS for the listen!!

There are few things that would not benefit from a side of spaghetti.
That was yummy.

I like it! Thanks, David! That's me playing the guitar licks on a Peavey Predator AX the old fashion way. No sampling involved...well, except for the usual BiaB backing tracks. Ha!

Ron, that sounds great and your chops are top notch.
PS - you can never go wrong with a guitar and a plate of Italian food!
