Hi All,

Here's something new from us. This is called TWO CITIES.

New York City
And the Hudson wind
Like a hurricane breeze
Blowing over me again
The damage and goodbyes
Of all those years ago
Should’ve said hold on baby
But I let you slip and go

Now Vienna at dawn
Into the morning grey
Walking past all the moments
That remain along the way
Every cold street and square
Old pictures cling
But the city is a hunter
Chasing down everything

From the U-Bahn’s roar
To the High Line’s gleam
Two cities breathe at night
Pressed together in a dream
Driving brings me peace
Heavy traffic and convoys
And the echoes of you
Still make a joyful noise

Yeah the echoes of you
Still make a joyful noise
Yeah the echoes of you
Still make a joyful noise

Heck, even the WAV graph is interesting. Did I ever hear you in the Village? Oh, I really enjoy your vocals, Bob, and what a special treat with Joliz. I like the way you both deliver the lyrics in your own style, and it works like magic. It's like a scene where he is in his damp, one-room apartment looking down at the passersby in the dark rain on 8th Avenue, while she is in her bedroom in Queens and you're both still sharing the same thoughts, singing the same song. Well done!!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Bob and Joliz,

You both did an excellent job on this the vocals are lovely! Bob your overall production on this is at a very high level! You (and J&B) have got me considering the move to the Izotope products because it sounds so good!

Thanks, TB

Hi, Bob.

One thing that makes a lot of your productions sound out is that they sound live. Not just the vocals, but the instruments. Everything is nicely balanced, and it sounds like I'm there in the room with you and the players. I'd swear you were playing piano if I didn't see is listed as a RealTrack. laugh

Excellent song, as usual!

Bob & Joliz,

I'm not sure what i can add to what's already been said. You always have that "in the same room" sound. And hardly anybody can write a story in a song like you. And Joliz is such a perfect complement to your vocals. There's never a bad moment when I'm listening to you two.

Torrey,

Joliz and I appreciate the kind words. Thank you so much.

I have been using iZotope mixing & mastering products since 2010. It has never let me down. I also love how it pairs well with other plugins.

And yes, Bud has a great setup and has done some extraordinary work with Janice. He sets a high bar and I've learned a lot from listening & following his production chain over the years.

SO beautiful - once more. Wow. Robert, you are a talent made of gold. Joliz, you add stunning, shining, reflective atmosphere to the song. Ethereal and otherwordly voice.

What a song, once again. I LOVE these "diary entry" - like songs. Congratulations.

I really like how the melody/chord structure were not overly complicated, allowing the message of the lyric and the textures of your voices take center stage. Agree with many others that the track sounded very “live” and the production seemed first-class!

Another good lyric led song from you two and I am a fan of a good lyric.
My only suggestion is that a harmony vocal from one of you would fit in nicely in the third verse.
Great stuff.

Bob and Joliz...as usual, the arrangement, melody and lyrics are impeccable...I love the simple piano line that carries the band...Bob your choices of the acoustic soundscape are so pleasing to my ear...as David noted the song sounds like a live recording of a stage performance...my only nit would be the coordination of the vocals with cutting or holding a lyric...this does give a live feel perhaps but it's a bit distracting to me (but just me it seems so not that big a deal)...to me perhaps trading lines back and forth or adding harmony would give some added element (for what it's worth)...lovely melody!
