When entering chords, and then outputting them to, say, Utility#1 by using ‘Edit Midi / Generate Chord Track on this Track’, the chords play back correctly until any sort of change is made. For example, if first chord is a ‘C’ and second a ‘G’, this is what the chords track will play. However, if, say, second chord is changed to ‘C’, chords track will continue to play the ‘G’. All other tracks in the piece play any changes correctly.
It is possible to correct this by going through the ‘Edit Midi …..’ process again, but should the chords track update automatically the way other tracks do? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong!
Can anyone advise please?

A subject of much discussion in the early days. There are actually two ways to route the chord chart to a utility track. The one you describe results in the midi being static and not changing with changes to the chord track without repeating the process of writting the track. Just as you describe. There is a second way to do this. Go to Options Preferences - Output chords and select the Write Chords to track Option. Set the tract to send the chords. Thats it. The track will now be dynamic, not static and will changes as you change the chords. Keep in mind you will need to turn this feature off when you don't want this happening.
