As an XproMegaAudiophileBonusplusUltraXtraStylesReal kind of guy I am again real mega extra ultra plus bamboozled plus by all the upgrade jargon - again. What's the difference between an Xpro Style, an Xtra style, a bonus pack style - to be honest I don't care. I would rather play a piano. All I know is I have Ultrapack and don't need the educational stuff. The BIAB example of "what kind of add ons do you have" does not help. To begin with, when I hit "what add ons do you have?" I am never sure if it referring to my current version or if it is referrring to the new version I have yet to download. PG does not make this clear. There is an explanation of this screen, on the website, in some cubby hole, when I can rarely find it. It's not actually the correct screen - my one in BIAB 2025/6 is complately different. Not ony is it a different layout but it is actually WRONG. When it claims "as you can see". Well maybe you can see, if you work for BIAB. Here is the "explanatory" image: It states that "in the screenshot you can see that XPro Styles PAK 8 and Xtra Styles PAK 19 are installed" NO IT DOESN'T. It shows that "Xtra styles 16, 17 and 20 and Xpro style pak 9" are "found". What is the difference again between Xtra and Xpro are they in the bonus pack, or the ......aargh! Where is the 11% of Xrta styles or the 25% of Xpro styles i am seeking? SHHHHHHHHHEEEEHSHHHHH! PG what a MESSS. What do your sales department think of all this?? How may customers wil miss buying something they want? https://1drv.ms/i/c/4aebef484af7e02e/IQBL8VmIlPdISZ4ZIOerA4xkAZKdnJg1pqoF-74_Neug_ZM?e=I9a1b3Type in "What add ons do I have" into Help and you get kicked out of the website to "powered by google", which does not answer the question. Last year I tried again to ugrade everything - not even sure what "everything" means in this weird meta verse language - was there not an "everything Pak" too which did not have everything? All I want is to cover all the bases, for styles and realtracks. PG: A New customer could never hack this, you must loose so many sales. Here is a pic: I say all this because PG needs to hear its simply too confusing. I am really looking forward to the revamp. I will upgrade, but will other's especially new customers and "dippers in", understand all this. of course not. Go find someone who is not familiar with this process of upgrading. Put them in front of a machine with no conaching. Sit your head sales manager down in front of them and let them watch what happens (without helping at all). YOU need to address this or loose megaxtraproplus money. It's been like this for years and PG LOOSES Get out of your bubbleZ

OOH. Google told me to go to styles picker and select the "Add ons" button to se what style psacks I have. But this appears to have vanished in 2025. Z

Yes, it's very confusing. Here's what I understand. If you presently have UltraPAK or higher, then you probably want the PlusPAK which adds just the new stuff. If you have lower than UltraPAK, then I think you need either a full upgrade or just the program update (no additional content). Xpro packs are compatible with the "Pro" (i.e., minimal) version. Xtra packs need the UltraPAK. If you have the Audiophile edition, then I think you can use either the "physical" that I presume includes everything on the PlusPAK which is only the new stuff. Incidentally if you haven't yet, on the Upgrades page they have a matrix of the options and a mouse-hover the version boxes gives extra details. It helps. https://www.pgmusic.com/bbwin.packages.htmPGM are not the only company where I've walked away because of the confusion over what I actually need.

Well then I appear to have made a mistake Greg.
I have just bought BIAB 2026/7, All Xtra Styles PAK 21 for Windows - XSP21-I, 2026 Bonus 49-PAK for Windows - 49PAK2026-I
I have decades with this app.
Have I confused Ultrapak plus with PlusPak. Is this the final question in who wants to be a millionaire?
Have I overspent? Have I got all the real tracks and styles? Have I purchased I have no clue !

I think so. I presume you paid the $179 instead of the $99. The XtraStyles and 49-Pak are extra anyway.
The UltraPAK+ includes the songs and lessons pack. You could try asking PGM if they'll change what you have and refund the difference. They're usually pretty good on things like that and as you say, it far from clear, so probably they _should_ be good on things like that.
Gordon.

I have found a magic button in the StylePicker. It's called Addons. It says I am missing styles 18, 19 and 20. So this means even though I have purchased All Xtra Styles PAK 21 for Windows - XSP21. "All extra Styles" must NOT actually mean ALL extra styles. ALL is not ALL, Everything is not Everything.

ZeroZero - The Xtra styles are designed to work with the UltraPAK (or Audiophile PAK), since they have all the previous styles. The XPro PAK is designed to provide additional styles to those that purchased the low-end PRO PAK version, as the XPro styles only use RealTracks/RealDrums that you get with the BIAB PRO version. Of course, since the UltraPAK contains all the RT's/RD's found in the PRO version, it's nice to have those extra styles as well. I think one of the confusing things here with regards to the XPro and Xtra styles PAK is the word " ALL". It really just means ALL the styles contained in Xtra PAK 20 or 21, or ALL the styes contained in XPro PAK 9 or 10. It doesn't mean "ALL" the XPro or Xtra styles PAKs ever released. This page describes the Xtra styles PAKs released to date. You can also click on the XPro tab to see those. Yes, it is confusing, but to me is just extra content to make music creation easier. You don't really need any of those PAKs, as all they are just nice groupings of existing RealTracks/RealDrums that make sense musically in different genres. You could easily create your own by creating a new style, adding the RTs/RDs and saving it. But PGMusic has done all the work here to figure out which ones work together musically, so you can go create music, rather than work on creating the tools to create that music.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
