Take a Bow A bit ridiculous, but a lot of fun to put together. So MAYBE it will be fun to listen to. If not...well, at least it's SHORT. This song is dedicated to our fans. Both of them. We're forever grateful that we somehow managed to marry up. ("marry up" is a somewhat obscure term for being lucky enough to marry someone better than you deserve.) Ha! Take a bowowowow....love it  I think the fun you had writing this song really comes across to the listener. I love the driving tempo and the overall vibe, and I LOVE your prosody. Hi Ron,
An incredibly energetic song, with many tongue-twisting parts in the lyrics.
Very funnily done and well sung, nice melody!
For a moment I thought "take a bow" was meant for your president, but apparently not...
I did have to scratch my head for a moment at this lyric:
"The limousine has like ten flavors of seltzer water
And a driver on bail for vehicular manslaughter
And enough headroom for all the Harlem Globetrotters"
Couldn't get what it really meant, even after the translation in Dutch, but I'm pretty sure it was funny!

I agree with Hans about the tongue twisters - I don’t know how you could do it - I’d be tripping over myself! Illustrates the frenetic pace of touring and the like?
Good guitar solo! Your exclamation point in your summary had me waiting with great anticipation and you didn’t disappoint.

Catchy as can be with great vocals and production as usual. Yes, fun is the word I'd use to describe this tune. Well done again, you keep turning out great stuff with ease!

Think the "bowowow..." ending was taken from how as kids we used to imitate the echo of mic/PA reverb by repeating the last syllable. At any rate, it WAS a ton of fun. I always have to Google "prosody" to ensure I'm remembering all the elements. Got it now. THANKS again!

Brilliant!
Excellent vocal, great job on the guitar solo too, you should play more often. Thanks, Dave! Yeah, everything had to be over the top to sync with the lyrics, so the solo is a parody: An ascending arpeggio cliche over a modulation, a new progression, plenty of slides/bends and a return to the original key, all in 8 bars. Didn't think about it too hard and didn't play it too many times. Oh, and it's embarrassingly easy to play, too. But like the way it fit the song--glad you did, too! Most of the songs we put out don't call for a guitar part by me, but I love it when one does. I play SO MUCH better than I sing.

Ah, i have a new motto: A bit ridiculous, but a lot of fun to put together. Man, you can't imagine how up i married.
Very cool write, Ron. Those lyrics are definitely not sing-alongs. What an excellent job of not only getting those words out, but also making them all very understandable. Really an incredible job. Hey, it is quite short --quick and short, but huge fun. Really well done.

Hans Thank you, Hans! So to break down the three lines of the bridge you were asking about into plain (but American) English: 1. The limousine has an amazing selection of mixers available in the built-in bar 2. The limousine driver has been criminally charged with killing someone with a car, presumably the limousine 3. The limousine has a raised roof tall enough to accommodate the tallest passengers, for example, The Harlem Globetrotters basketball team Funny interpretation about our "take a bow" and our president, but...no. Ha!
