The vocals are particularly good, and the backing vocals are excellent. The lap steel guitar stretches out like a reverie. Very good.

"She had a map with coffee rings," "Some things don't need changin' they just need to end." This stuff is lyric gold. Steel was a perfect choice. I wish you'd get the opportunity to write the soundtrack for an indy film some day. That would be gold, too.

Hi Bob and Joliz!
I love this song. The feel which is steady in support - mainly from the acoustic guitar - I don’t know how to describe it - I’ll call it a ‘1.&.2.&.3’ feel - that was captivating. But your vocal combination - Bob, your song-speak and with Joliz’ melodic/harmonic addition to give some colour, all while the pedal steel is crying in the background - wonderful!
I don’t know about you, but I feel that August is a month that we pass right through - here in the southern hemisphere, August is when we are trying to get to Spring/September as quickly as we can.

Very beautiful lyrics, but that probably won't surprise you.
But in this case, I thought: how creative to sing a song while nothing is actually happening.
I love those kinds of stories, because everything happens in your head.

what a catchy opening. i can quote nearly every line with the same reverence. Joliz is always a brilliant addition. Subtle but with such impact. The lap steel was a big plus too. Always a very enjoyable experience.

Another amazing song which grabbed me from the start. Great instrumentation, lyrics and vocals as ever. If I was still young, was rich and had super powers I'd kidnap Joliz' voice and have it only sing for me!
