Here's a strange problem which has me completely baffled.
I've laid out a song over 113 measures (2:42sec) using just 3 tracks - 2 MIDI (drums and piano) and one Real track (bass). The result both looks OK and -plays as expected.
Now the strange bit - I imported all the tracks into Cubase, sure enough the Drums and Piano went in as MIDI tracks over their full lenghth of 113 measures but the bass track only goes to 81. (I did check that the "to" and "from" limits were correctly set before before generating the bass track)
Now even stranger, if I convert the Piano MIDI to Audio before importing into Cubase, this also only goes to 81 measures.
Nothing I do seems to change the above. I even tried Drag-n-Dropping strait into Cubase from RB, same thing.
What is happening?

Does the bass track play the full length inside RB? That's the first thing I'd like to check.
Does RB report the length overall as being the 113 bars? (Hit FF to end and take a look).

In the center 'song generation' section, what is the number in the box for the length of generating? Porgram defaults to 32, and maybe you have that number set to less than the desired length(?)
I think when using the 'BB' tracks (blue) this number comes into play. As a test, generate on a track farther down, like track 10, and see if it changes.

That's the strange thing Mac.... the track playes the full length and the numbers show it goes from 3 - 113 (plus the 2 bar ending). All the MIDI tracks generated correctly from 1 - 113 (allowing for count-in) which is what I had set the parameters to in the boxes you mention rharv.
The thing I really don't understand is why, when I import the piano MIDI into Cubase it is the correct length, but when I convert it to WAV or Audio it is short (81)?
This whole thing came about because I wanted to replace the MIDI drums with EZDrummer instead of Real Drums. The default drum set is Pop which I didn't want to use. I wanted the Vintage set. This worked great during play back in RB but would not render to the Vintage set, it kept going back to Pop. I tried everything to get it to produce a WAV/Audio of the Vintage set but gave up.
I then thought I would simply import the drum MIDI into Cubase and use EZDrummer from there.
This is where I started to run into the problems of MIDI and WAV length issues.
I would prefer if possible not to regenerate the Bass RealTrack because I've got it just how I want it.........but, if that what it takes........
Still doesn't make any sense to me though.

Nope...... just spent another 2 hrs on this trying to figure it out. MIDI and Real tracks/WAV audio are still coming out at different lengths.
1. I'm using a style called AcidJazz.STY in BB. 2. Tempo 165 3. Measures are set to 1 - 34 - 3 (from 1 to 34 x 3 times through) 4. This generates 3 tracks, Piano, Drums, Bass all MIDI and saved as an SEQ file 5. The SEQ MIDI is then opened in RB and shows that all 3 tracks are present and run from 3 - 105 6. A realtrack Bass track, Jazz Ray SW 160 is generated bewteen 3 - 105, this continues for 2 additional bars as per settings (add 2 bar ending) 7. All tracks play back at the correct tempo and to the full length of the song. 8. Tracks are saved as "Save all tracks to individual WAV, MIDI" etc.....or......."Save all track to WAV", or all MIDI tracks are first converted to audio tracks which convert to the correct lengths - 105 bars.
Now - when I import these tracks into Cubase all the MIDI ttracks go to 105 bars but any of the converted or RealTracks only go to 78 bars.
The Real bass seems to correct and plays to the end, but all the MIDI tracks seem to have gained extra bars from somewhere. BUT, if I convert the Piano track to WAV that also only goes to 78 same as the Bass.
Just don't figure ???????

Yes, did that 3 days ago. But I have been doing some more "playing". I may be premature in saying this, but it looks like it could be Cubase where the problems lies.
If I start a new project and simply import both MIDI and WAV from a saved RB or BB file I get the odd lengths, but, if I start a project and import just the MIDI files first, AND, except the offer to "make a new project", the MIDI comes in, at the correct length, and, when I then import the WAV files they also match up to the correct length.
So, in conclusion, and as a work-around, it looks like I have just learnt a valuable leason.
Still don't know why it happens, but I hope this little experience may help others.
many thanks Guy's for all your help, much appriciated.
