I have entered c am f g in the chords window and put a rest on the f by entering F. but nothing has changed, what am I doing wrong please?

On my system the F. (prints in Red text) and causes that entire Bar to be silent. Just as in C \ Am \ \ G

Try sitting on this bar and R-Click - Select Chord Settings and you will see the exact setting for the Rest.

Hi, yea that works in my biab but not in realband, is there some setting that I haven't checked?

Oh, its RB we are talking about. Sorry, I missed that small point. I can check this out, but I believe it will be different for RTs than Midi. They work the same for rests in BIAB but may not in RB. Give me a minute and I will confirm.


OK, just checked and all is good here. Both Midi and/or RT's all went silent for the F. Bar.
Do you have current version??

RealBand, unlike BiaB, is static.

If you've already generated a track and then want the rest, you have to regenerate the track after invoking the rest. Okay to just highlight the one measure and regenerate.

This is by design, RealBand does not work in realtime, rather it lays out the generated parts along the timeline as static tracks. That's the whole point of RealBand as vs BiaB.
