Newbie here,
Using BITB 2010 build 14 Mac
I am having a little problem importing a Midi file.
I am trying to import a standard midi file and have all the channels split so the song will play in BITB as it would in a midi sequencer (all parts separate etc.) I am assuming this is possible? I would like to hear the parts on the Mac's DLS Synth as I do when I open a BITB File. I am a bit confused between "Import Chords From Midi File" and "Import Melody from Midi File" functions? Can't seem to get this working.
Any help would be appreciated (trying to figure it out with 2009 pdf Manual).

Figured it out .... I was doing every thing right (Import Chords From Midi File) but all the Volumes on all tracks were being imported a volume of 0 hence no sound.

This appears to be a bug. When a MIDI file is imported all tracks are always set to zero volume, regardless of what they were in the MIDI file. Using the normalize function in the preferences does not change this. In addition, pan is always set to -63 on all tracks.
