Mac talked me into a dynamic mic. After days of reading I chose the Audix OM 5. Never regretted it. Now I have no voice at all, can't talk and the mic can't help. Tough gig this chemo.
I can park the thing right in front of my Bose L1 system and unless I really crank it no feedback. I think I paid 140 bucks or so for it.

Hi John. Real sorry to hear about your health issues. I think that $140 is a real bargain for a mic with any quality. We just paid that for a wireless mic setup. It's a Nady uhf-3. We rarely have need for a mic for voice and we got what we paid for. I would not recommend it for serious users. To mic my wife's flute, we are using an AKG 1000S. It's corded and works quite well. FWIW

My wife won't go the mic route yet. I'm working on it. I'm into the last week plus a day of my treatment. I hope that's the end of it. Well, except to lose a few lymph nodes, but compared to this that's a cakewalk.
Read the reviews of the Audix, it might be I'm not picky, but then again, I feel it works great and it allows the Bose soundsystem to shine through.
