He gave us some priceless B/Ws - Miles Davis at Montreux was really intense, and so many more. There's a surreal one of Sonny Stitt I like as well.

Thank you Carlos for posting this. I had never heard of Mr. Leonard before and your post made me look into his work. The man sure was an artist. What a fantastic eye this man had! His site is filled with photographic masterpieces.
May I remind you all that nowadays technology make it possible to make or buy photographic images and have them printed on canvas or whatever surrface you like?
This goes for pictures of your (grand)children to the fantastic artistic images Mr. Herman Leonard made.
That is one blessing of the digital age we live in; we can reproduce the past and keep what's good...
