Hello,
Is it possible to do my own realtracks and is there a good tutorial explaining it? I admit I've not read all the BIAB and RealBand docs ...

Hi François,
It is not possible for anyone other than PGMusic to make Realtracks at this point in time. It is possible, though (and you might already be aware of this), to create soundfounts of your instruments' sounds and then to use these sound fonts to play midi tracks. While this is not of the caliber of Realtracks, soundfont files can add quite a bit of realism to midi files. If you do a search on the net, you will find there is a lot of documentation around that deals with soundfonts.

Thanks. After reading some forums, I've done the same conclusion. But BIAB is essentially jazz oriented and not me!
That's the reason why I would like to have my own realtracks to play Canterbury music (King Crimson, Caravan ...) or Mersey sounds (Gerry Rafferty).

François, Noel is correct; PG Music uses a proprietary process to make the RealTracks. They did make it possible to do your own RealDrums, though, so if this is important to you, you should post in the BIAB Wishlist forum.
Also, don't forget that PG Music reads the BIAB Styles Wishlist forum, and you can post the names of specific songs there and request that they make a style. Over the years, they have made a bunch that I requested. The more specific you can be with the suggestion, the more it will help them.
EDIT: I see you've already been to the Styles Wishlist. Good.

It's true that a lot of us forum members are jazzers so that can skew your perception that Biab is mostly jazz oriented but that's not the case at all. There's tons of RT's in country, rock, blues, salsa, mambo even grunge and hip hop styles. You should hear the slide guitar or pedal steel guitar soloists. Just last night I was messing around and put a finger picking banjo on All The Things You Are and you know what? It didn't sound bad at all. When you're using RT's it's irrelevant what style you happen to be using. You can slap any RT you have on any song. You will be amazed what you can do with this software. Do a Google search for some of your favorite songs as Biab files, you may find those styles you're looking for have already been created. Also check out Norton Music, he has thousands of styles he developed himself.
