When I create a Midi file from the soloist or melody track in BIAB 10.5 and then import it (or drag it) into Logic Pro 9, it appears as a white stripe in the arrange window, rather than the normal green stripe. In addition, there are some light gray rectangles in the stripe that may correlate in some way to bar numbers. The notes are there in the arrange strip, and they seem to play fine with internal Logic instruments, but if I try to play them with third party plug-in instruments (e.g., Electri6ity or acoustic legends), they aren't recognized. Just silence. This only happens for midi files created from soloist or melody. I can import midi files from piano, bass, drums, strings, and they are perfectly normal in Logic.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on? I tried changing the Midi channels for soloist but that had no effect.

I have had this issue as well. I have had "success" porting the midi output via a wav file, but it doesn't allow selection of the midi instrument. It is a recording of the midi instrument captured and then dragged to logic.
I would appreciate information on this as well.

Sometimes midi tracks in Logic are white instead of green, but it doesn't affect in any way the sounding of the track.The little numbers in the stripe refer to the program change (midi instrument, i.e. 66 for tenor saxophone).
As for the external plug in instruments, generally it is matter of the midi channel in logic: many instruments are programmed to play on midi channel 1. So it should be sufficient to go in the inspector of the track in logic (middle box on the left of the screen) and change MIDI channel from All to 1 (or another one depending on the instrument plug in).
