I'm sure this information must be out in the aether somewhere, but I can't seem to locate it through search or 'Help'.
-
I'm trying to adjust the volumes separately on each track (i.e., Bass would be one volume; Guitar another; etc.) and I'm using Realtracks. I see there is a general volume boost under options, but I can't find individual track volume controls -- can this be done?
Two other small problems I've run into which I'm sure must have solutions:
-
Where is the setting to change the 'master' number of repeats for the entire lead sheet (the one that shows up in the last bar, and is x3 when you first set up the chords); and
-
How do you shift groups of bars around so that you can have two bars on one line, say, and four on another. I can split a four bar line up, but I don't seem to be able to reassemble it after I split it up Thanks! Chris

When you hit a radio button alongside of whatever Trackname (Bass, Guitar, Piano, etc.) the Volume spinner to the right controls the volume of that track. If it is a RealTrack, it will be the A. Vol. spinner, if MIDI track, it will just say Vol.

To the right of the Songtitle Window are three boxes with numbers in them.
The middle one controls the number of choruses and defaults to 3. Hit that box and a dialog window opens where you can change the number of choruses.

The Part Markers control that. Part Markers also control Drum Fills that happen before them as well as switching from A to B style and so-on, so sometimes you have to decide which is most important, the newline or the change of substyle, or, in the case of inserting the same Part Marker as previous one, a Drum Fill only.

Volumes adjust like any other instrument - the little spinners next to the selected instruments along the top area of the chord sheet, below the menu bar. Some styles will override changes you make and that is another story.
On the line in BIAB that has the style, key and tempo settings there are 3 boxes with numbers, the farthest right is the number of choruses. It defaults to three. Click and pick from the dropdown. Or if you want multiple choruses on one big chord sheet, Unfold the song.
Bars shift to a new line with the addition of a part marker (A or B for basic songs, you can have others) so if you click on the bar number 10 it should shift it to a new line. To undo that later you can click the bar number again until the part marker goes away and the line should revert. There are some rules as to when and why lines split to a new line. Check out the manual for info on that as well as setting this feature off altogether if you like.
Good luck.

I heartily recommend spending some time watching the various tutorial videos available both online and in many cases, shipped w/biab.
Wealth of info there.

Ah ... yes, it all seems so simple now. I'm surprised that I missed the connection between that whole row of spinners and the instrument tracks... I thought these were global settings. It's actually very nice to have them there. And the chorus box ... again ... du..uh.
And I now 'get' what is going on with the part markers and double bars (mostly ... I may have to study a bit more to cover all of the situations)
Thanks for the quick help on my questions
Chris

Find a bar where you'd like to 'hear' changes and press F5. Explore those options...lots of them there.
Note that at the top you can make the change happen on every chorus (verse) or only on say 2 or whatever.
If a midi track is there you can also change instruments, for example go from one type of guitar to another...
The suggestion about the videos is valid. And hard to do when there is so much to 'play' with.
