I recently came across the following vid on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df-_8VMH4pcIt appears to be using a plugin guitar synth (TH1) to emulate a real guitar amp setup via BIAB. In the vid it seems as though the plugin is only effecting the Real Instrument guitar track. How is that possible? Can you put different plugins on seperate BIAB tracks - Real or MIDI?

Looks to be set up on the sole Audio track in BB.
I don't think it is running in realtime, I think the guitar was first recorded to the Audio track, then at Playback the VST effect is being invoked.

Can you tell if the guitar playing is off one of the Real Tracks or not? It sounds to me as though it is.
I suppose the other option would be to have pre-recorded the guitar track (off RT), then, play the whole thing back using live playback together with BB.
On second thoughts - Not sure that would be possible, and, kept in sync.

Look at the tracknames across the top.
Yellow = MIDI
Green = RealTrack
White = None

Hi Folks, For anyone that hasn't done so, and might want to play around with this sort of thing a little I'll post some steps on how to simulate this. 1. Load an all RT style that features a solo instrument and the demo for it. (*_BLSW_GS is a good one) 2. hit play and as soon as it starts playing hit stop. Then do a (save song as) and save it to a folder. 3. Right click on Strings (or where ever the solo instrument is) and choose (save real track as wav) 4. Click on the audio menu and choose (Import audio) and choose the wav file you just made. 5. Click the (DXi) button to open the (VST/DirectX Instruments...)window, then click on the (Audio Track) tab beside the (Synth Track) tab. Use the top drop down panel and choose PG Distortion. Don't close this window but move it out of the way and hit replay. Now you can adjust the distorion on your track. Of course, with Carlos being the master guitarist that he is, I feel sure that he has recorded his own audio track. And the VSti he has loaded is a little more advanced than a lot but there is several pretty good amp sims out there if you do a search. Later, Jim
I'd be completely happy if I had just one more guitar.

Thanks Jim. So, I'm assuming from your reply that it is NOT possible to apply a seperate plugin to just one RT (or even MIDI) instrument track in a "normal" BB project?
I thought it was just me missing some vital piece of info on BB.
It's no real big deal, you can obviously export/import a RT into RB and apply a seperate VST plugin.
Mind you..........it might be cool though to be able to influence just one track this way within BB.
Is this a wish list item?
Cheers pdoth

I think most folks just take their project to RB or the daw of their choice for that type of development. lol.
