Hi there,
After some time struggling with note entry, I have some wishes for the notation view / staff roll mode:
1.) Make selecting notes more intuitive.
Current situation: If I draw a box to select notes and then press Ctrl+C, an unnecessary dialog pops up, telling me the range to copy. Ctrl+V will then pop up another unnecessary dialog and finally paste the notes that where previously within the box PLUS any space before the notes that mis-intentionally got selected.
Prefered situation: Drop these Copy/Paste Melody dialogs and make it work similar to piano roll: Draw a box around notes -> all notes within the box get selected and are marked red. Ctrl+C puts them into clipboard. Ctrl+V inserts exact the same notes at cursor position - without preceding rests and disturbing dialogs.
2.) Add a "delete selected notes" feature when [Del] is pressed. Again - in piano roll mode such a feature is there - as one would expect. Why not in notation view????
3.) Make repeated paste operations in notation view work properly with the undo feature. Imagine the following operations:
[Enter note1] [Enter note2] [Enter note3] [Select notes] [Ctrl+C] [Move Position Cursor] [Ctrl+V] [Move Position Cursor] [Ctrl+V] [Move Position Cursor] [Ctrl+V] [Move Position Cursor] [Ctrl+V]
If you now press [Ctrl+Z] (undo feature), ALL paste operations are undone including [Enter note3].
In piano roll mode this works as expected, but in notation view... not

4.) When there is a selection box, don't let the first click anywhere on the sheet enter a new note but just let it remove the selection box.
