I'm a little confused about the connection procedure on the BB itouch app.I get a "no Band in a box server response" after entering my network address,is there a band in a box server id I'm missing?The dialog leds me to believe that. I disabled the firewall and checked my other apps that connect for data transfer and they all work fine.At 73 and still kickin the blues I'm not about to give up on this product.Must have bought every update since day one ( mega bucks when you look back)Still a fantastic bargain in fun and music development,no regrets. Do you have Quicktime already installed? From other posts, I think you need that.

What a dummy I am ,3 days before my 73rd birthday; I read the what's new and caught the thingy about the server helper. WORKS like a champ. The plug in is a dead issue though tried the mme driver and still get the lack of asio ports when I boot up the daws ,Fl studio, reason record and Ableton live. I have a delta 66 pc express card installed on win xp pro guess it's time to up grade thanks for all your help now back to work and get kicken on my B3 and sax with BB in the lead Stan

To successfully switch from ASIO driver choice to MME in BiaB, one must first shut down any other sound programs that may be calling the soundcard at the same time. That's not the same as minimizing those programs to the taskbar.
Here's what I would do:
1) Shut down all programs.
2) Start up only BiaB.
3) Go to Options - Audio/MIDI.. and change from ASIO sound drivers to MME inside BiaB.
4) Then I'd Play any BB songfile, just a few bars and hit Stop.
5) Shut down BB.
6) Now reopen BB and then open any other sound program which you intend to use with the Drag and Drop feature.
If you leave BB using the MME drivers, you won't have to go through all that every time. The only thing you may need ASIO drivers for in BB is if you are attempting to play a software synthesizer in realtime using a MIDI keyboard or other MIDI instrument. Otherwise, no harm nor foul running MME, which is actually going to call the Windows WDM sound driver in any of today's operating systems.
