Hi Everyone,
I downloaded the iPhone BIAB yesterday, installed it and successfully connected to the BIAB server. I downloaded 3 songs that I had placed in the BIAB2go folder and they are now on my iPhone. Today when I try to connect to the server again, though, the phone says "Updating style list" at the bottom and it hangs around 75% of the way through. Sometimes an error box comes up that says "Server is unable to process the request." I have reset the app on the iPhone, I have restarted both BIAB and the computer, and have also tried shutting the server down and restarting it, as well. So far, I have had no success connecting to the server again. I am running the latest version of BIAB 11 (312), and do not have a firewall. Please help!!

I would try going into BiaB on the big computer, hit the Styles button and Rebuild the Styles list.

I had the same issue. Eventually I solved it by closing the BB server in the systray, then running it as administrator (using Windows7), ie I went to the BBHelper folder and right clicked on the the bandinaboxserver.exe and selected "Run as administrator". Worked for me!

It worked! I think the problem was that I copied the bandinaboxserver.exe to my desktop and was trying to run it from there - for some reason, the file on my desktop did not work, but the one in the BBHelper folder did. Thanks!
Now another question - do the melodies not transfer in BIAB for iPhone?

If they did I'd have to eat humble pie and buy an Ipad. Though the lack of flash support (I think one website in 3 now has flash) would drive me somewhat nuts.

So the melodies don't transfer? Not even for songs that are rendered in a standard softsynth, and not RealTracks?

I had a similar problem with songs not transferring. It would get to about 90% "Generating File..." on the iphone and then not go any further. Then I went to BIAB and went to the BB2Go window, uninstalled the server and restarted it. It seems to work now, although it does seem to pause for several minutes on the 90% part still (before eventually transferring the song).

Yes, you need to run the BandInABoxServer.exe from its location in the bb\bbhelper folder. That is the default location, so unless you purposely move it, you should be fine. If it is running, you can connect the BB iPhone app to it, from within your home network (or anywhere on the Internet, if you open up 2 ports on your router, as discussed on pgmusic.com/help100
When it is generating songs, the speed of generation depends on the speed of your desktop machine, so if its a big song, lots of RealTracks, and you have a slow machine, then if will take longer and pause on the "90%" complete until its done.
