Hi everybody,
Just wondering what country midi styles do you use to build your country songs on before adding realtracks etc?
I usually find that I keep going back to the c_cowboy ev 8 140 style and then build it up with realtracks etc. So many styles there and even with a good filter it can be a bit hard to get the right style. Needless to say the above style is on my favourites and unfortuantely no compatable realstyle available for it.
Very interested to know what country styles you have on your favourites or what midi style most of the time you start with?

IF is use country 'style' I start out with anything close and change it to all realtracks. I like to add a fiddle and bring it in and out of the final or eventual 'mix', so.

It really doesn't matter what midi style you use if you are going to add ALL RTs. The Style at that point has no effect. When you load a RT Style all it does is load in a group of instruments.Nothing more. The playback is all determined by the RTs themselves. With MIDI styles the style does determine playback. Sooooooooo you could start with a BLANK Style, enter your chords and start adding one RT at a time. No difference.

FWIW, I agree with silvertones John on this one.
You might want to check out some of the All Realtracks country styles, though, if you have them. This can save you the time of selecting separate Realtracks for some songs.

Or once you've found a group of RealStyles that work for you, roll 'em into your own RealTracks Style. That way, you can just select it and not have to substitute all the instruments.
Now, if you're still using some of the MIDI tracks, then, yes, you would need a good underlying country style to use.
But if you're looking for appropriate country styles, you're going to have to be more specific, as there are lots of variations within the country genre.

Thanks for replies. To be honest I do keep some of the midi tracks when doing a song, usually have realtracks on drums and for lead guitar, other than that I find it sounds ok to my ears anyways. Just need midi styles with a straight forwrd 4/4 beat to them. Maybe I have become too used to the c_cowboy midi style and thorwing in a few realtracks. As I now have the full 2011 ultra pak I will do a few auditions in the stylepicker.
Thanks again
