Thanks for dropping by. I was starting to feel really lonely trying to defend myself from shots fired from all directions. 
In my case, whenever I used DXi to render in BIAB the wav file was all messed up.
When I disabled DXi and used an external MIDI device I was able to render a good wav file.
Here's something that may help PGMusic troubleshoot this.
Last night I was working with my tracks in Reaper. I had everything ready to go.
I went to Reaper's render screen and set things up and started the render process.
The resultant wav file got stuck/had hiccups similar to with BIAB DXi!
I tried different things.
It was rendering at 1.3 or 1.4 times normal speed.
I checked the box that said: Limit to 1x realtime.
Bingo! It worked. A clean render with no hiccups!

BIAB Guy, I don't know if you've done this already, but it's probably a good idea to send a copy of your post to support@pgmusic.comSometimes they don't pick up on everything in the forum, but they're very goood at responding to emails about possible bugs that have been tested in the forum. If they don't seem to grasp the problem, don't be afraid to pursue it - they understandably believe their program is (almost) perfect and so sometimes you might have to prove the problem by confirming you've been through all the steps. After two attempts, a longstanding problem I had with overspill endings was fixed in the latest release. Every success Phil

There are those of us who have been Rendering successfully right along, though.
That does not necessarily rule out some sort of bug, we have seen that sort of mixed result regarding a few other things.
As I recall at the moment, seems I've likely always invoked the VSC DXi to do those Renders, since my OS is still XP SP3.
Am going to be experimenting with the Render using those other two mentioned, Coyote DXi and the Forte, but the difference in OS is likely to be problematic as to results as well.
Still, a lightning struck machine is a lightning struck machine, and that is a problem...

I thought, naively that if you plugged in the USB cable to the unit, everything would work automatically. All the sound would come out of the USB cable!
I thought it had a built-in Midi module (like most internal soundcards do). It just has Midi (ins and outs), that's all!
So I connected the Ins and Outs to my Roland SC 55mkII and turned on my external amplifier and replayed the BIAB song. Now I could hear the midi!
Of course no one showed you how! Dude, in the other thread I explained why you are on your own here, nobody at the big stores knows anything about this stuff, you need to get some basic education by going to Mac's site and others and start reading about and educating yourself about the basic's of digital audio.
You don't know what you're talking about! and you're wasting everybody's time. Stop posting and start reading these threads here and when you read something you don't understand Google it and read up on it. You have people running in circles trying to help you because you're using the wrong terminology like calling your Edirol a "module". You finally figured out after how many days (weeks?) now it's an audio/midi interface, not a sound module. Duh!! Stuff like this makes is impossible for someone especially PG Music's tech support to help you because you're not speaking digital audio, you're speaking dumb**** layman English. At this point you have no business using a very nice $200 interface with no clue.

Mac also addressed this, but I thought it worth mentioning that, in version 2011, you cannot do Opt., Return to Factory Settings without encountering the dialog to Save your Current Preferences. It even has a default value if you blow through the dialog boxes so quickly you miss it. Your settings WERE saved.

My machine is not "lightning struck." If it were I would not be able to render WAV files in Fruity Loops. Like I said in my prior post in this thread I made a midi file from the BIAB MGU file, then I imported same into Fruity Loops. I then made a WAV file of the soloist track and imported that into Fruity Loops. Fruity Loops had no problem in making a WAV file that was perfect...
Seems that BIAB doesn't sync up its own midi, real tracks and real drum files when rendering its WAV...

This *might* be a case where the sound device is locked to another bitrate than BiaB's native 44.1KHz, which can lead to tracks out of sync on the Render w/BiaB.

Thanks for looking in.
The same control panel comes up for my ASIO drivers from the manufacturer (M-Audio)in BIAB and Fruity Loops...
I set it for 44.1 KHz and 24 bit.
Is the 24 bit right for BIAB or should it be 16 bit?

Digital audio in BIAB uses a bit depth of 16.

BiaB uses 16/44.1
There should be a setting for the M-Audio that allows the host program to control those settings and that would be the preferred way to go. On my old M-Audio Audiophile cards, it is on the same page window where selecting the bit depth and rate manually are, below them. Sometimes they word that stuff rather cryptically. Look for the "Independent" wording checkbox.
