Hi
I've been trying to locate a Real Drums loop that is just (closed) hi hats playing quarter notes... as a kind of count in that could be incorporated in to a drop down section of a song. I have come across RDs that have a little kick or tom etc in... I am looking for hats only.
Any idea if such a pattern exists?

I've not heard the closed hihat countin in any of the RealDrums files but that doesn't mean there may not be one.
If I wanted to do what you are trying to do, I'd likely just use MIDI drums for that and write the notes in on the Melody or Soloist track, pointed to channel 10.
MIDI closed hihat doesn't sound all that bad, depending on your choice of MIDI synth, of course.
They could be converted to .wav audio format in Realband or another DAW program quite easily, if you must have them as Audio format.

Carefully listen to the RDs files and find a spot that you may be able to isolate a single HH sound. Then copy and paste this somewhere you'll be able to find it. Then make your own RD style. There's a tutorial on this.Should be easy to locate just HH as the Kick and snare are only on the beats. Use the "and" HH sound and move it so it's on the beat,copy it 3 more times so you end up with a wav file of one measure that has 1/4 note HH. Now make your RD style.It did this to make a "surf" beat with the snare.Like the drums on Hawaii 5 O
