Sort of a poll, I guess. How often do you folks purchase the updates/upgrades?
One other related question. Does anyone have a guess or actual information on if/when 2011.5 for Windows will come out? I would really like to wait so that I get the introductory upgrade rates instead of the full upgrade rates. (The 2010.5 -> 2011 upgrade on the ultra pak was quite a bit lower than it is right now. I waited too long. Doh!)

Updates are usually in the summer (July/August), but I think there have been times when they didn't have upgrade prices. I occasionally miss an upgrade but try to keep up with them. RTs tend to make them pretty good.

In my experience, major upgrades to BiaB most often get released in December, in time for the XMAS season and/or he beginning of the next New Year.
Less often are releases with the ".5" appended to them, in the middle of a year.
While neither are ever announced by the company ahead of time, I've found that you can pretty much count on the December release to happen every time. Does not always happen with the half-year cycle, though, that's the exception rather than the rule.
