Hi all, Could anybody please tell me how I can change the instrument that plays the melody I have entered. I'm using an iMac with the latest version of Snow Leopard, and BiaB 2011 that was downloaded this week - so it should be at the default settings. I entered a few bars of chords and then used the notes section to enter some matching melody. So far so good. However, it's using a Jazz style with Vibraphone playing the melody, which I don't want. So I opened the style picker and tried some other styles, but the result seem very flakey. If I select a style and audition it using the play button in the style picker window it does what I'd expect, and it also changes the melody instrument to suit. For instance, guitar, organ or banjo, etc. However, if I press OK it returns me to the main chord entry sheet with the new style shown, but still uses the vibraphone as the melody instrument.  If I try changing the melody instrument myself from the drop down menu in the style picker it will tick my selection but as soon as the drop down window closes it's back to showing the vibraphone. If I persist with trying to change it using that drop down list it will sometime change, but to a random instrument, and not the one I selected. In every instance it reverts to the vibraphone as soon as I return to the main screen. Searching the manual and the forum hasn't thrown up any clues yet. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help that you can provide. Chris EDIT: Well, I've discovered that I can change the melody instrument using a different drop down menu, back on the main chord entry page. Hard to see on this computer, but it works, which is all that matters!  Yes I am still reading the manual - in fact I've done little else for the past day or two - but I can't seem to locate anything specific to the problems with the style picker options. I still can't figure out how the drop down melody instrument menu in the style picker window is supposed to work, but perhaps enlightenment will come eventually....

Apparently it's a fault with the program not me. Good to know I'm not doing something especially dumb and newbish...
I emailed PG support and got a pretty quick reply. The guy was able to replicate the problem and apparently reported it to the development department for fixing in a future patch. He also confirmed that an inconsistency in the manual that was puzzling me (suggesting that you load a file that isn't actually included in the instal) was wrong too. I'm impressed by the both the speed and the frankness of the response. All too many companies these days seem to either ignore you altogether or just won't acknowledge faults. Well done PG.
