Is there a singer's corner forum here? I am a Pop, Jazz Singer and would like to create a topic or forum for singers to share there experiences with BIAB. I plan to use this great program live, since the Real Tracks instruments are live this should create great backup tracks. Is there anyone else who has this desire and or using BIAB live? I think it will work with the right speakers,PA and Mic. The Jazz Singer is a class that seems to have been left by the wayside.

Great idea! Of course Jazz singing requires alot of volaleze training because there is such a wide range of jazz out there...from Connick, Jr., to Bubble, to Ella to Sarah...and speaking of the last two....queens of scat, which is an art form in itself...the list goes on and on. I was blessed with a voice sometimes mistaken for Mel Torme, who was grad from the same HS in Chicago....along with Steve Allen, who loved to sing as well as play keyboard and compose some great jazz-pop hits of his day. Then there's the ever-present JAZZ Musician, talented in their own rights as singers/scatters, too...Clark Terry and Chet Baker come to mind, as does Julie London, who spun my head around with her "Cry Me a River" lush-voice treatment with Barney Kessel giving her just the right solo guitar backing. Then there's Bobby Troop of Route 66 fame, Dianne Krall who plays a mean piano backed by great guitar players and musicians...all who could sing a happy or sad tune, at the drop of a hat... But bottom line are the beautiful lyrics, from Broadway to Brazillian...there are many nights (like last night) when I'm in bed with the ear phones plugged into my IPOD Touch, digging the sounds and voieces and rhythms I've never experienced before...on my new fav destination for all types of music: TUNE WIKI!! So much smooth talent and vocal "tricks"...well, not tricks but hard vocal training over a long period of time...ask Jane Monheit or The Four Freshmen, who are still touring with fresh new voices! The list goes on....the songs go on...from caberet singers to ex-Metropolitan singers turned latter-day jazz singers-afficianados and other genre singers...country singers, rock singers, soul singers... Just one big happy family...that probably deserves a separate "Oasys" on the BIAB site!!
