What would cause a tempo change mid song and how do I get rid of it? is it a setting that I may have accidentally triggered?
The scenario is that I have set the tempo to 120, used a real track style but about 8 bars into the song it changes to 128.999 (or something like that) for 6 or 7 bars and then changes back again. it wasn't like that when I first loaded the style, it just started happening some time later.
I couldn't find anything in the help files to assist.

Click the box at the bottom labeled 'Tempo' and take a look at the tempo map. You can edit any tempo changes you want (or don't want) there.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Another downloaded midi file, right? This was programmed into the file itself. You have no idea how the original creator of that file did it or what equipment was used to create it. Then, after it's posted on the internet someone else decides to change it and posts it again somewhere else. Downloaded midi's can be a real crap shoot sometimes because what they thought sounded good doesn't agree with what you think sounds good.
The Tempo Map window is the ticket.
