Lots of clues if you have run across this.

8 bars, Miles Black on Piano (he's been here before but didn't know it!) then I let it go.

I'll put up a video soon of me wailing away on it with that, I drop Miles from the band, he's too expensive.

Note: Hit download in the top right, it's just a small mp3.

After listening to this I have to explain there is not one note entered in it. It's just the chords. I should have done a fade in and some stuff to it like expression etc, but I'm so tired of late...

So 30 people have listened to this piece and can't identify it? Really.

I should have called something else.

That's OP's opus.

"Hymn to Freedom"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-mIHk2rM0Q

Used to get a lotta mileage outta that one on the gigs, not so much these days.

Along with Dr. Billy Taylor's, "I Wich I Knew How it Feels to be Free" - which was often tied to the above like a Medley of sorts. Great jazz piano numbers where the pianist gets a chance to show off some of their Gospel chops. Think diatonic chording rather than the standard jazz way of harmonizing the scale.

Here's Dr. Billy Taylor along with the awesome Monty Alexander taking off on "I Wish I Feel" starting out with an Intro that quotes Amazing Grace:

In both pieces, the RHYTHM, and keeping it moving straightahead, is the most important part of the thing to master.

I use it a lot. As organ music.

I was actually surprised by how well the first 8 bars sounded everytime I pressed play. That Miles Black wrote the book with the transcription and the piano at the start is his playing through Band in a Box startled me.

OP was a great brother.
