Hello again,

I got Cakewalk Music Creator 6, installed it and the TTS-1 showed up in PTPA 12 and I selected it.
It also shows up in RealBand and I selected it.

In BIAB 2009, it doesn't show up on the dropdown list.
Where do I find it? I assume it's installed correctly because it is there in PTPA12.
It also works well in RealBand. I love the sounds.

I unistalled the Coyote Forte and I rebooted.
The TTS-1 is not there.
I'm stumped.

If anyone else is using TTS-1 with BIAB can you please give me your advice.

Thank you, Wayne,

Hi,

If it shows up in RealBand, we would certainly expect it to show up in Band-in-a-Box. Do other DXi synths (e.g. ForteDXi) show up fine? Try closing Band-in-a-Box and deleting a file called DXiPluginList.ini from your bb folder. Then re-open the program and see if it shows up.

Thanks Andrew,

I tried that, but it made no difference. It doesn't show up in the list.
I did keep trying other combinations and wound up getting it to work.
Here is a picture of the settings. I have no idea how it works, but it does. So I'm good, I think. It plays and sounds good.

I don't know if I should change the latency. I never had to adjust anything with my XP setup.
Wayne,

(Funny thing,I have it working in my PGMusic software, but can't figure out how to make it work in Music Creator)

Hi Wayne,

Kind of confusing, but here's how it works:

The list on the RH side only lists NON-DXi synths.

Below, where the "Use DXi" is checked, we can see that the TTS-1 synth is indeed invoked. When you have the Use DXi checked like that, the list is over-ridden.

To access the DXi Control Panel, simply click on that button with the Cakewalk TTS-1 displayed in it.

Thanks Mac,
I got it to display another way. I just forgot how....lol
This is just another learning thing.
I also thought Music Creator would be easy. It will take me awhile to figure that one out.
Until then I have my trusty PTPA and Realband. Thank goodness.
Wayne,
(I just remembered, I push the DXI Synth Settings Button and it pops up. :-)

Even though that list is overr-idden, I recall support mentioning it may help to have the wavetable synth selected for some reason. This pic jogged my memory on that one.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I think it's because it's a GS device.
Loads a GM/GS mapped synth. I'm just guessing.
I just know this is the only way I got it to work. I also rendered to WAV using a MIDI file in PTPA and it went so fast, I thought it failed, but the WAV file was there and I hardly saw anything happen on the screen. Poof and it was over.
It's amazing how fast the new computers are. This is a i5, 2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2.90GHz, 6gb RAM and a big HD.
It's a Dell desktop. My first Dell. I have know idea where it stands in the speed scale, but it's plenty fast for me.

The i5 processor is second down from the fastest Intel chip at the moment, give or take.

You got a racehorse there, Wayne.

Does anyone know where one could purchase or download the TTS-1 by itself?

Thanks,

Hi Trax,

I couldn't find it anywhere by itself.
I bought Cakewalk Music Creator 6 and it installs from that.
If you get it from Cakewalk as a download, be aware it's a long download.
3 files, 2 of them are over 2 and a half GB. It takes awhile.
It's $10.00 more than PG, but I wanted the download and not the wait and shipping.

I had nothing and I was desperate for it.
