I'm having a MIDI problem. I can create a new song in the chord window, select a Style and hear only the audio tracks. The MIDI tracks do not sound out, although I can see that they were generated. After much poking and prodding, I opened the Mixer window. At the bottom of that window is a button called "Default", which sets everything in the Mixer back to Default according to mouseover hints. After pressing this button, I can hear the MIDI. I verified this several times and with multiple styles.
I'm using Cakewalk TTS-1 as my default plugin for MIDI, and have the MS GS Wavetable (or hwhatever it's called) passing MIDI to it via the checkbox in the MIDI drivers window.
Everything worked before I installed RB last night. Everything, so far, still works perfectly in Biab. It's just this odd behavior in RB.
FWIW, the Styles were nugrass and sugarmag. Both randomly selected. Others too, but I ony remember these two.
I did screen shots before I hit the Default button. It seems that all of the MIDI tracks' "Exp" knobs are zeroed out until I hit the default button. At that point, they go up to 127 and all can be heard. So, I guess my question is, how to I set things up so that I can generate the BB tracks and not have it zero out the value that makes the "Exp" knobs zere out or remain at zero?

Change your default track type to MIDI in preferences area.
When they default to audio the exp knob gets set to zero..
let us know if that works

Thanks for the response.  Sorry to say that it didn't work. Just in case I goofed, here's what I did: I set Pref -> General -> Initial Track Type to "MIDI". I closed, re-opened to start a new song, verified my change was still in effect and started a new song using the chord entry as before. Only my Real Drums track came through until opening the Mixer Window and pressing the "Default" button.

Was the exp issue fixed when you did this though?
*edit - I see they still default to zero here for exp after trying. I thought that was the fix previously.

No, it was zeroes as before the adjustment.
The Cakewalk TTS-1 window does look different in RB than it does Biab. The left side column of buttons isn't there, for example.

I don't have TTS-1 to test and will let support know of the exp dial issue; thenks for pointing it out (and the fix)
Maybe start another post about TTS-1 display so other users will see it in the topic.
