The tempo of the song isn't passed to Amplitube?
Even in the 2012 Video the song tempo is set to 100, but when Amplitube comes up it shows the default 120

I've just watched the new demo video for BIAB 2012 and the "Tap" button in AmpliTube was used to set the tempo to match that in BIAB.
Thought I'd pass this along for what it's worth.

Yes, the Tap button to the right of the Tempo indicator inside Amp3 is used to set the Tempo to the song.
Simply tap it along with the music while your songfile is playing and after a bar or two of that, the correct Tempo should appear in the Amp3 Tempo slot. Provided that you tapped on the beat, of course.
"Tap" Tempo is a rather common method of setting an effect, hardware or software derived, to the beat, for use with effects such as echo, delay, etc.

Yes, that's what I'm pointing out, even the tutorial video shows you have to tap the tempo. BIAB should just pass the tempo on, this is fairly common for host applications.
If you change the tempo in BIAB then it looks like you need to bring up every VST and re-tap the tempo.
I wouldn't say "common" because only standalone apps or the hosts themselves tend to have a tap control. BIAB has has a tap tempo - but it doesn't pass it on.
I see lots of midi improvements, maybe this will make the list some day?
