I have a new Lenovo/I7 Intel Computer with 12 GBytes memory and have not installed BB on it as of yet. I own previous versions 6 to 2012, the last two versions on hard drive also, The 2012 edition was a Christmas gift from my daughter. Can I just install it directly to my HD or do I need to install previous versions first to achieve the 2012 installation? By the way, they are all up-grades, except version 6.

Hi David,
If you have the Everything Pak on USB drive, simply run the install/setup option from the USB drive and install it to your hard drive. You don't need to have the other versions installed. You might want to hang on to your other installations, though, in case there were works you had created in the \bb directory.

If it's an upgrade you must have a previous version installed first . I had a similar situation when I upgraded from 2004 to 2010 and it wouldn't work till the old one was installed in my new computer. Glad I still had the old disk .

Dave has it on the Hard Drive, so an Install from there would install everything in one swoop.

Thanks for all your responses. I've been running BB vesions 2010 and 2011 via USB on the 60Gig hard drive they came on and not the computer hd. I'm not sure, but I think Mac is right, the Everything package should install on my computer hard drive. Just wanted to make sure before I install it. Besides, I don't get until Christmas morning...Tryin' to avoid problems.

Do we know definitively that the "Everything" package always contains all the Bonus Paks that have been offered on occasion?

Well, my Everything Pak came with a separate CD (or was it a DVD?) which contained the bonus pak. I didn't check to see if it was already on the external hard disk. I assumed it was not.
Of course, it doesn't take too long to install that CD/DVD and then it's there.

Right. So, keep any CDs you get along the way and install them separately on a new PC?

If you've ran BiaB (even from the hard drive) you will likely still have a C:\bb folder from the initial run/installation. This will have kept track of your version updates along the way. So if you have recent versions (even just on hard drive) I'm betting you still have a C:\bb folder that will allow even an upgrade installation. Even if you don't have C:\bb (which is unlikely); just upgrade the existing external drive 2011version by running the install pointed to there (to external drive). I do this every version. This way your old hard drive serves as a backup to the 2012 version. I always keep a back up of the current version for emergency. It lays right next to the working one .. and looks just like it.  Those drives are worth the extra $$ between DVD mega and Ultra hard drive version by themselves. Let alone you get all the tracks.
