I downloaded Update 2 & 5 to my desktop. When I go to install to my External Drive "o", & click on Real Band, I get a message that says It appears that my Real Band has not been installed properly, & that I must have Build 1 for it to update. Does Build 1 not come with it initially.??

Hi Johnny,
As far as I'm aware, Build 1 is the original installation file installed by a newly released version of the program. When you tried to install the update, you didn't by off-chance have the Realband program open did you?
Another thought ...
From what you've written, it sounds like you're installing the update to a USB drive. If this is the case, did you check that the update path was correct?

Hi Noel, When I did the 2012 update, I did it with downloads to my 2011.5 .. I just recieved the disls yesterday, so I'm just now installing them.. maybe I missed something by downloads.. will re-post as soon as I install the 4 disks I recieved, & re-boot.

Well I installed all my disks, & I was able to install Build 2, but when I try to install Build 5, I still get the same message " your Version of Real Band does not appear to be properly installed. You must have at least Real Band 2012 Build 1 for this update to work"

Johnny,
After you've installed Build 2, do you enter into BIAB and then open the Style Picker so that the style list can be rebuilt?

Yes I did that.. I am still missing Styles in Jazz Fusion Soloing=0, and Texas Blues Rock=0

Johnny, try going the start/computer/hard drive route and see if it recognizes the drive.

You have to install 2012 to your desktop as you did and also have to install it to the USB external drive making sure you have the path correct. If you don't have the path correct it'll just reinstall to the c drive and when you try to update the USB with 2012 build 5 you'll get that message. Once both drives have 2012 on them then you can install 5. Don't need the others in between. PG makes it so each build includes previous builds.
