as everyone knows i've been working with my midi's and finding more and more out everyday....thanks to all who have helped me so far..
i wanted to share what i discovered tonight...a lot of my midi's had this clonking sound in them...very terrible...and the annoying melody sound that i don't like playing with me while i'm playing and singing.
well tonight i discovered the midi sequencer under the melody tab...where i can see all the midi tracks and edit them.....so that annoying sound i had was a sound called a glokenspiel it made the midi sound terrible....so i erased that track it was on.....
then i got rid of the melody track...adjusted my effects to taste....then saved midi under the file tab..
sent it to my flash drive...and took it over to my yamaha mm6 and played it...
finally while it played in the keyboard....no melody line played and the glokenspiel torture sound was gone
i was so happy i did a dance at my keyboard....just accomplishing that made buying this program worth it to me....and i'm just scratching the surface

TIP: Next time, try assigning a different MIDI Patch (Instrument) to the track. Maybe a Rhodes piano, maybe Vibes, Clavinet, some keyboard, depending upon Genre and taste.
Many MIDIOTS assigned Glockenspiel to mimic certain keyboards, but that is all dependant upon the MIDI synth *they* had when developing the file as to how it sounded.
Sometimes doing just what you did is great, too - less can indeed be more in this game.

Before i erased the glokenspiel track...i did try out some other sounds...but the midi note that was assigned to this track...was kinda weird...its like it had no musical form to it....think of a cowbell with a constant hit just whacking away.....
thats what this note was doing....just a boing boing boing boing through the whole song
no matter what it was changed too it sounded bad
and i can't even figure out why whoever built the midi put it in there..
its almost like they built it while Drunk or smoking crack or something.....lol
