I've been searching for almost an hour. I can't find it in the manuals or any of the menus. I'm feeling a bit, um, slow. I would like to see grid lines when in the Tracks window. Can this be done, and if so, how can I turn the feature on?

There at the top. Do you want them to extend all the way down through the tracks? Can't be done.

Yes, that's what I was after, and thanks for the response, even though it wasn't an answer I had hoped for. 
Fortunately it's no big deal. Just something I was used to seeing with other softeware and I let it kind of grow on me. I just decided to dive in today to see if it could be done. Thanks for your time.

if you need precise control while selecting within a track... you can double click the track to open the audio editor which DOES have grid marks right in the track.

Precision is obtain by using the From/Thru timing boxes in the function windows. For example: in "CUT" the From/Thtru is specified in Bar, Note and Ticks (the latter in accordance with the setting in Options > Resolution. If using the maximum resolution of 3840 ticks per quarter note, one tick is worth 0.13ms approximately.

this may involve a definition of terms John...
In the main screen the grid is at the top and all the tracks are below. The tracks are so far away from the grid that there's no easy way to align a hilited section in a track to the tick marks. (when hiliting a track you can't see where you are on the grid)
In the audio editor, the tick marks appear inside the track (But at the top, just under the buttons, not all the way through the WAV)which makes it very easy to start hiliting at the right place (even though the grid doesn't extend all the way through the track, it isn't necessary)
The only reason you'd need it to go all the way through all the tracks as stated previously is to visually connect the grid at the top of the screen with ALL of the tracks at once. When dealing with one track at a time (as in the editor) having the grid at the top works fine.
