Hi All

If I'm following a Real Tracks (or even "midi" for that matter) Solo in the "Lead Sheet" window, shouldn't I be able to follow the solo as it plays by the individual notes "lighting up" as the solo plays in real time??

I can "see" the notes(the transcribed solo), but for some reason, as the song plays all I get is the individual "Bar Lines" of each bar being highlighted, but not the individual notes themselves!

How can I rectify this problem??

Thanks

Harpo

As far as I know this is implemented on the Melody and Soloist tracks only. So if you wanted to you could copy them to the melody track and then put the volume at 10 or something low and you should be able to hear them fine, even if they are on both tracks.

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to convey here, John.

I have no problem whatsoever "hearing" the notes being played.

The problem is in the "Lead Sheet Window"!

When I'm in the Lead Sheet Window (watching the Melody or the solo track) you're supposed to see note for note the notes that are being played in real time!
Each note gets highlighted as they are played, whether it's the Melody track or the Soloist track (and I believe that goes for "any" other midi track as well!)

This "Highlighting" feature doesn't respond on any of those tracks, whether they be midi solo tracks or RT solo tracks!!

This is what I'm trying to correct!

Understand??

Harpo

Works fine for me. Understand? All you can do is

1. Ensure the channel is not muted.
2. Use Opts Prefs Notation and click the box.

Otherwise there may be an embedded volume control in the midi data hidden in the track that sets volumes to 0 and I suspect then they don't show up...get it?

I just checked 3 songs on my system and all work as intended.

I would also note that unless a RealTrack has an underline there is not notation for it.

Hi Harpo - mine works as advertised - active notes light up in red, active measure bordered in blue. One variation is to check "Fake Sheet Mode" at the top of the Lead Sheet Window. When I do this, active notes do NOT light up, but the active measures is bordered in red. So try clicking on the Mode box during playback button a few times and see what you see. Good luck.

Whenever BiaB does not do something that it is supposed to do, I go to the Options menu and perform a Return to Factory Settings...
