I'm glad you guys enjoyed this. It does make me wonder, ...... will there be a clip of of great guitar riffs or "hooks" from 2001 thru 2012?? I'm gonna take a leap and say I don't think so. I haven't heard anything "memorable" in years, ... regardless of the genre. Those old songs had you in the first four bars. ... Oh well.........

man, one or another of my bands played every one of those songs.
For those of us who are using some degree of music automation, It illustrates the importance of adding the signature hook that people might possibly remember years from now

plenty (ok maybe even most) of the really iconic ones in this clip, but plenty of fillers too (‘riffs’ that are in fact simply the chord structure of the song, underwhelming or overly complicated riffs that are actually either not that memorable or not that good, riffs that are in fact more properly defined as solos…)
Plenty of further reading/viewing available on this sort of thing. Just enter
"greatest guitar riffs" or "iconic guitar riffs" in your preferred search engine..
