I'm getting a new system. I currently running win7 home premium 32 bit. I'll be changing to 64bit. I have the 2012 Everything Pack ext hd. Will I have to reinstall BIAB and RB? I'm assuming that my mirror image backup cannot be used to restore to my new system? When I went from XP to Win 7, I had to re-install all the programs. Thanks, I've never done this procedure before.

I would recommend you do reinstall.
I don't think you HAVE to, since BIAB is a 32-bit program and to my knowledge all other related software from PG Music is also, and it runs fine on a 64-bit OS. However, it will take you just as long to copy over all the files. You would also still have to install the basic program to get the fonts into the right Windows folder, or do them manually, assuming you know what files to copy.
So, don't mess with it, just do the reinstall from the supplied external hard drive. It should be quite painless. And, I love Windows 7 64-bit; it has been extremely stable. But I don't know about the wisdom of trying to install a mirror image from a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit OS, and I would not attempt it.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Thanks, Matt. That was exactly the type of info I was looking for. I wonder how many programs that I'm going to have to repurchase.;)

I wouldn't expect you have to repurchase any, assuming you've kept the serial numbers. They should all run fine if they ran in Windows 7 32-bit.

Just a trick I use: I create a text file with the serial number/installation code and save that file into the same folder with the downloaded software. The info is always available along with the setup file.

Here is how to do it and also keep all of your songfiles to date:
1) First, run the Installer that is on the USB drive on the new computer. Install at least the Fonts and DX effects from there. That is because these two things must write to the Windows Registry. Also install any DXi synth that you want to use on the new puter, bear in mind that the venerable but old VSC DXi will NOT run on a 64 bit system though. There is a Coyote offering that does.
2) Now just copy the entire BB folder to the new puter's drive.
3) Before attempting to run BB, go into the BB folder, find the file named, "intrface.bbw" on the new computer and delete it.
4) Now start BiaB up, it will create a new "intrface.bbw" file to match your new computer and you will be taken thru the Setup Wizard for MIDI devices and Sound.
Assuming that the copy of BB that you have on your old machine is up to date with the latest patch update installed, the copy on your new machine will reflect that. Right now, with BB2012, we are on Build 349.
That's all there is to it, in all these years I've never lost a single song.
**NOTE - there are certain "addons" that you may have that will not copy like this. Those will have to be installed separately onto the new machine using their appropriate installers should you have them.**

Thanks Mac & Matt. I just got off the phone with Micro Express and ordered my new desktop.
I'm going to get started today on the programs to transfer. I have a lot of little utility programs to get sorted out and organized. All of my data files are backed up on Carbonite. I'll put the rest of the stuff on an external hd and then run the pgm setups and installs from there.
